Okay, I rarely do memes. Rarely as in, NEVER.
But every time I see this one, I find myself wanting to do it. Because it’s usually called something like, “Seven Random Things About Me” or, “Five Strange Things About Me.”
And let’s face it, I’m pretty random and strange.
So when Heather at Home With Heather tagged me to do this meme, I decided, hey, why not?
I’m choosing the “Seven Random Things About Me” title, and going with it. So in no particular order and of no importance whatsoever...
1. I’ve (not) got rhythm. I’ve played the piano for years. I’ve been singing since I was a toddler. But my rhythm is SAD, people. Very sad. John, on the other hand, has not only perfect pitch, but perfect rhythm. I knew I married him for a reason.
2. As much as I love the idea of a nice, long, hot bubble bath, I have a hard time actually relaxing in the tub. The reason? I never feel like the tub is clean enough. Either it hasn’t been cleaned that week, or it’s freshly cleaned and I’m just sure there’s shower cleaner residue in my bath water. That tends to make the whole relaxation thing a little difficult.
3. I have a small, very lightmolefreckle on my right hand middle finger. When I was a little girl, I was so horribly embarrassed by it that I would hold my thumb over it when I’d raise my hand to ask a question. Just to, you know, not draw attention to it. For some reason, I’m not so sure that was the best way to accomplish such a goal.
4. My signature crazy face. Now THAT is random.
5. Doing too much blog-hopping overwhelms me and I end up quickly shutting my computer and pushing it far away from me. There are a LOT of people out there, peeps. A LOT. And for some reason, that overwhelms me in a huge way. I tend to read the same blogs most of the time, and have a hard time finding new ones without being freaked out by the sheer number of bloggers out there.
6. I am terribly cheap. Not frugal. CHEAP. A penny-pincher. A miser. I hate to spend money. I have a really hard time with the whole “ya get whatcha pay fer” idea. Instead of spending money on a quality item or two, I end up spending even more money on a bunch of cheap stuff. Good character quality, that one. Mmhmm.
7. I have virtually no brain since having kids. I don’t know exactly what happened to it. I have a few ideas, but… oh, wait, what were they again? I don’t remember. Just like I no longer remember all the random things I’ve always thought I’d use if I ever did this meme.
So there you have it. Seven random things you never wanted to know about me.
(I am, however, going to be answering some questions on Monday that have been coming in via email and comments lately. Some of you have been asking some of the same things, and I thought I’d just answer them all at once. So if you asked me something recently, look for the answer Monday. If I remember it, of course. Which may be hard, considering my lack of a brain and all.)
Now the "rules" state that you're supposed to tag seven other bloggers to do this meme. But most of the people I know have already done it. Ages ago.
(I know, I'm always the last to jump on the bandwagon. Please don't hold it against me.)
(If you haven't already done this, and you want to, consider yourself tagged. And let me know you did it, so I can go find out if you're as weird as I am.)
I'm changing the rules. Instead of tagging seven people, I'm "tagging" all of you to tell me ONE random thing about yourself in the comments. Hey, if I have to bare my random soul, you do too.

I have a freckle/mole on my right hand, middle finger too! Weird, huh? ;)
I love your randomness... don't stop!
Thank you for your ramdon things I just reciently did one as well.if you are interested come over and check it out.
That was the funniest post ever!!! :) Here's what I have to say about it.
1. I could think of a couple other reasons you married John. :) Cause he's cute of course!!
2. Bubble baths are great. I understand it would probably be more of a pain for you to take one because of prep time, but the next time I come out I will clean the tub run a bubble bath for you put on some relaxing music and pick out a book. I will watch the boys and you can relax!!
3. Of course you say you didn't like that freckle but we all know you did or why would you bring attention to it?? :)
4. I love that face! Who wouldn't. I think that's why John married you, cause he loved that face so much!
5. Blogging I am starting to know what you are saying but I am having so so much fun.
6. It's ok to be tight with money! Except when it comes to bra's. You can't go cheap on bra's!!!
7. The whole "no brain" thing is just silly!! Have you looked at my blog? You have a great brain!!!
Love you!!! :)
I'm right there with you on the tub thing. ;)
Random...hmmmm...
I can't think of anything. Anything at all.
Me too! (Being a bit grossed out when taking a bath.) Which would be why I haven't taken one in MANY YEARS! (Minus a few swimsuited baths with Jake to practice swim lessons!) So, random...hmm... Every time I get a kleenex, no matter how desperately I need it, I always unfold it completely & refold it the opposite way (against the crease) before actually using it. I know, crazy! Hey can I join the mole-on-right-middle-finger club too?!
I can't walk away from a crossword puzzle without finishing it. My DH and I love to do crosswords, but the poor guy never gets to do a whole one. It kinda' works though: he starts them, I finish them.
Haha, I thought that I was the only one who felt that way about bubble baths! :-) I also have no rhythm! My sister makes fun of me because she is a drummer. :-) I love your posts! I have 2 kids (just turned 1 yesterday and 2 1/2). It's nice to know that other moms go through the same things that I do.
I have recently taken up crochetting and am hooked on it (hahaha!) Nothing gets done except the afaghan I am making my son and his soon to be wife.
Wow. Love your list and I think all moms would agree with you on loosing a few brain cells...
As for me, I'm trying really hard to think of something random... anything I think of just doesn't seem that random. Maybe I'm having a hard time from the missing brain cells??
Okay... I don't like coffee. I love having "coffee time" with friends but don't like coffee. Does that count?
Blessings.
I had to laugh at your comments about taking a bath. I have always felt the same way. I'm way too tired to think of something random about me. Can I blame that on my kids?
How about:
I love pickles.
Or... I was bald when I was born? ;)
I'm a twin but I'm pretty sure you already knew that..
The funny thing is that we're kind of mirrored twins and do things opposite ways sometimes- like cartwheels, snowboarding etc...
Uh, lets see.. I should tell you one more random thing.
Oh, I know!
I am somewhat of a "neat freak" and have been known to come along and put something away shortly after someone got it out to use. (oops!)
Oh, and by the way, I completely understand that overwhelmed feeling when discovering ALL those blogs out there... one can only read so many ;)
It's hard to choose which ones sometimes though.
But rest assured, I always read yours! (and try to read your sweet Mom's blog once a week or so)
Blessings,
Samantha
I have to agree with the overwhelming feeling that can come from blog hopping....I could get so caught up in it too. I probably only read 5 blogs on a semi-regular basis.
Um, well I have multiple birth marks ..one on the side of my leg (calf), one on my knee, one on the other leg that is very smallish and one that pretty much looks like a darker band around my lower abdomen. Now you really wanted to know that , huh? How was that for randomness?
